Kyle Aaron Smart

I was the graphic designer, web coordinator, and primary photographer for Catherine Cook School in Chicago from March 2017 to September 2022. In that time, I created everything from event posters and invitations, to annual reports, viewbooks, and magazines. I design all internal and external marketing and communication visuals for the school on a daily basis.

Major projects include the Annual Gala event that requires a unique logo and branding for each year's theme. I design invitations, digital e-blasts, signage, program books and more for this yearly event.

In 2019, I worked with the Department of Advancement and Director of Facilities to redesign the gymnasium with updated graphics to help give Catherine Cook School a more contemporary look and feel for athletics and physical education.

In 2022, Catherine Cook School returned to an in-person gala following the Covid-19 pandemic. This gala theme of 'Pop Art" allowed me the opportunity to create some of my own pop art inspired by iconic artists with a Catherine Cook School spin. We used this art not only for the marketing, but as decoration and design inside of the event itself.
